We arrived in France in 1986. Having a Catholic background, we joined a local Catholic Church but always felt that something was missing. We deeply felt the necessity of having an English speaking Church. In our quest for a new Church, we prayed the Lord with all our hearts and decided to look through the yellow pages. We found what we were looking for: “S. Mark’s Church Versailles”.
It was one afternoon; we went to locate the church. After parking the car on the opposite street, near the petrol station, we crossed the road and approached the church. There, stood a tall man trying to get into his car with a young girl, and we asked him about the whereabouts of St Mark’s Church, and he replied with an English accent “Je suis le Pasteur Martin Oram”,
Since then, St Mark’s has become our church.
It’s a great privilege to be part of St Mark’s. There is no doubt that St Mark’s has a strong fellowship. It is very supportive. We enjoy the social events very much. We truly feel that God has answered our prayers showing us this church. We feel part of a family.
