Women @ St Mark's
St Mark’s knows that for women, life in a different country presents challenges and we want to support them. We have regular prayer breakfasts for women only, a mums and toddlers group called Coffee Pot and a day time Bible Study called Oasis for those who are child-free, contact us for information. Also we are aware that for some families, church is for “women and children” - in other words hubby prefers golf or a quiet rest; so we have special prayer groups focussing on this and social events where all the family are welcomed: barbecues, barn dances, Christmas carols for example. Parenting courses and marriage courses are offered from time to time which benefit families, and our singles or couples without children are encouraged to get together for meals and socials. This is a church which values women’s leadership and gifts, not just in the Sunday school and the church kitchen, although those women or men who are gifted in these areas are welcomed with open arms!
