This interesting and controversial topic brought more than 65 people to St.Mark's for an evening of discovery lead by our own Associate Pastor, and PH.D in chemistry, Tim Norman. A fascinating few hours were spent learning about new discoveries in science that have both enhanced the belief in a GOD that designed the universe, as well as challenging the brightest minds to explain the existing alternatives. Tim led an open-minded discussion that allowed for personal interpretation and beliefs, while encouraging all participants to share thoughts and questions; The last portion of the evening being dedicated to an question and answer session in which Tim was challenged to explain how some of the more difficult scientific subjects of the day could have a GOD element, or point of view.
Recording of the talk - LISTEN - MP3 (apologies for the sound quality)
A thoroughly satisfied, but thought provoked, group left St.Mark's that evening with a promise from Tim for a future follow-up presentation, which all can be assured will be equally as interesting. 'Origins & Genesis' is the next step in this journey of exploration together.
