Weekend with Brian and Gill Lea - November 2008

What an amazing morning... Around 25 women huddled in a room at the vicarage, all burning with passion to pray for their husbands and children, and for other people's husbands and children. Gill Lea, speaking from experience, and careful research into the subject, brough to us a moment of teaching that was biblical, appropriate, real and caring. It was a great time for women of the church to get to know one another and to invite the Lord into our lives as a community (after filling ourselves up on croissants, scrambled egg, tea and coffee of course!).

The following day, Brian spoke to us from Nehemiah, and with his great experience in church building projects, both encouraged and challenged us just one week before the launch of REACH, our building project. Nehemiah, Brian reminded us, was a man of prayer. Along side his building project, he kept praying. And we must do the same as our building goes up, we must set our foundations in prayer.
