Giving to St Mark's

We welcome all who come to our church, and see financial giving as voluntary.

Members of St Mark's contribute to the life and work of the church in many different ways. Whilst the information below relates to financial giving, other pages on this site explain the variety of ways you can get involved in the ministry.

St Mark’s is entirely self-financing. We receive no subsidies of any kind and are entirely responsible for the cost of ministry, staff and building maintenance. We are dependent on the giving of our members and our visitors, and by the grace of God we manage to cover our budget. 10% of all our income is set aside and allocated to worthy causes by the PCC such as outreach and mission-based needs in France and around the World. How Can I Give to Support the Work of St Mark’s?
• Planned Giving Scheme (Click here to download Form) - give a specific amount regularly (weekly/monthly) by direct bank debit

• Give Online Now (Click here)
Select "Versailles - St Mark's" under "ICS's mission...".
(ICS is our parent organization, and offers this facility)

• Envelope System - give on a weekly/monthly basis and place the envelope in the collection plate during a Sunday service

• Collection Plate - which needs no further explanation.
Please make all cheques payable to “St Mark’s”

• You may also like to consider donating to St Mark’s in your will. Please ask your solicitor, or ask us for more information.

TAX EFFICIENT GIVING
FRENCH TAX PAYERS
All methods of giving (except online giving at this point) entitle you to a receipt at the end of the year, which result in substantial savings on French taxes: for contributions up to 20% of your taxable income you will receive from the French government a refund of 66% of the amount given!
N.B. If you give through the collection plate, we will only be able to give you a receipt if you give by cheque.

UK TAX PAYERS
For UK taxpayers, it is also possible to give money through the Gift Aid scheme. The benefit to St Mark's is that it can recover the basic rate of income tax, currently 28p for each pound given. (If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return).

We all have a role to play in the Lord's ministry. We are blessed with a vital, gospel-based church with many opportunities and many challenges. The Lord is always more generous than we can ever imagine and we can testify to his faithfulness to his church.

We are grateful to the many who have given sacrificially and we are confident that the Lord will develop his work at Saint Mark's, as we look to the future.

We thank each of you for your generosity and your commitment to Saint Mark's, and the Church Council, the Churchwardens and the Clergy of Saint Mark's join together in saying that we are most encouraged by what God has in store for us and by those who give without counting the cost.
