There are estimated to be 500 000 English-speakers in the Ile-de-France (the greater Paris area). These people come from a wide range of countries of origin, and there are many organisations and societies which help English-speakers in France, whether they do speak French or not.

RSCM France

Fusac is a free magazine containing classified ads and advertisements for the English-speaking community (Americans, British, Canadians, Irish, Australians, New Zealanders, etc.) of Paris and the surrounding area. Much of this information can be found on their website.

The Council for the English Speaking Community in Paris, is an informal organization for the exchange of news and information between more than eighty English-speaking service groups and associations in the Paris region.

The British and Commonwealth Women's Association is located just a few minutes from the Arc de Triomphe; includes a library open to women who are members of an international women's 1901 Association.

MESSAGE Mother Support Group is a support and contact group for parents and parents-to-be living in and around Paris. MESSAGE is an English-speaking organisation but includes members, who speak English, from many different countries.
